| VINE HEADS ROYALISTS INTO PLAYOFFS |
Windsor & Eton secured their place in the playoffs with a well deserved 1-0 win away at Paulton Rovers.
Ashley Vine headed the only goal of the game which was also his first for the club since signing from Thatcham Town.
Windsor controlled the first half forcing numerous corners and throw-ins deep inside the Paulton Half without any end product.
It was however Paulton that had the golden opportunity to take the lead when Matt Seedel push over Dan Cleverley to earn a penalty.
Rob Claridge stepped up to take the penalty but was denied by Rob Bullivant who pulled off a great save.
Windsor again started strongly in the second half and came close again when Steve Butler headed over from Paul Coyne's free kick.
They finally found a way through minutes later when Bruce Wilson's cross found the head of Ashley Vine for the Windsor striker to grab his first club goal.
Windsor rode some late pressure and made changes towards the end including Martin Williams who's highlight was an impressive crab impression trying not to fall over.
