Windsor & Eton are looking to end the season on a high after making it three wins out of four beating Newport IOW 2-0 at Stag Meadow.
A first half Marien Ifura goal gave Windsor the lead with Jon Case settling the tie mid-way through the second half.
Despite a slow start which almost allowed Steve Coyle to give the visitors an early Windsor were rarely ever in trouble.
Newport, third from bottom but safe from relegation, never troubled the Windsor goal which resulted in their fifth clean sheet in seven games.
Windsor came close to an early lead after Jon Case's throw was flicked on by Matt Seedel and fired wide by Ben Porter.
Case himself then went very close but his effort was somehow deflected wide for a corner.
Windsor finally got themselves ahead with five minutes of the half remaining.
Case managed to cross the ball at the second attempt and Marien Ifura rose at the far post to head in his first goal for the club.
Three chances in two minutes then fell Windsor's way with Michael Chennels heading Mark Burgess' cross wide followed by keeper Jamie Bray letting Case's cross slip through his hands only for Seedel to put wide.
Chennels then through but sent his effort wide of the post.
Windsor kept up the pressure in the second half with Case setting up Seedel but he headed wide of the mark.
Seedel then had a shot well saved by Bray after he was put through by Porter.
From the resulting corner Windsor added their second of the game.
The ball was only cleared as far as Case on the corner of the area and after beating one defender managed to strike the ball from 20 yards, clipping the underside of the cross bar and in.
Despite throwing on all three substitutes, Newport could not find a way past the Windsor defence earning Matt Brooks his first senior clean sheet for the club.
