A series of bizarre decisions robbed Windsor & Eton of the points as they went down 2-1 away at Taunton Town.
Jon Case gave Windsor a first half lead with Mike Taylor and Aaron Wilson netting in the second half.
With Sam Mazurek suspended after his red card against Oxford City, Matt Brooks was handed his first team debut and despite the result didn't disappoint.
On a pitch that was close to being declared unfit, Windsor started brightly and almost grabbed an early lead when Michael Chennels cross caused a scramble in the Taunton area allowing Matt Seedel to shoot only for his effort to be blocked on the line.
Windsor got themselves in front after coming very close to going behind.
Steve Cook managed to get past Marien Ifura and his shot came back off the post. Mark Burgess managed to clear the ball which was flicked on by Seedel into the path of Jon Case who finished at the second attempt.
Windsor finished the half on top failing to convert a couple of chances with Burgess hitting wide and Chennels forcing a good save out of Ian Jones.
Into the second half and Taunton had suddenly come to life forcing Matt Brooks to pull off a fantastic save in the opening minutes.
Aaron Wilson then put the ball over an open goal from Charlie Welch's cross as Windsor started to ride their luck a bit.
Taunton should have been down to ten men after Jak Martin pulled down Case on the edge of the area with only the keeper left to beat.
Martin was then given the opportunity to level the score when the ball bounced through but he was denied by an on-rushing Brooks who was having a great game.
Windsor brought on James Edgerley and with almost his first touch should have doubled Windsor's lead when he was put through by Seedel only to fire over the bar.
That miss would come to haunt Windsor just five minute later when Ben Willshire's free kick was met by the head of Mike Taylor to level the score.
Just a minute later Windsor were denied a blatant penalty when Edgerley was sent crashing in the area. No penalty was awarded and Edgerley was eventually taken off due to a shoulder injury resulting from the challenge.
Into the final minute of normal time and Seedel picked up his second yellow card of the game resulting in Windsor seeing out injury time with ten men.
With four additional minutes already played another Willshire free kick from the same spot as the earlier one found the head of Wilson this time to secure the points for Taunton.
