Windsor & Eton failed to build on their midweek success going down 3-2 away at Uxbridge.
Mark Nichols completed a hat-trick after Michael Chennels and Jon Henry-Hayden had brought the visitors back from 2-0 down.
This match should have been one for Windsor to build on after beating Newport IOW only three day's previous with manager Simon Lane naming an unchanged side.
From the start it was evident that it was never going to be the 'friendliest' of games as both Mark Burgess and John Dyer received yellow cards for a coming together early in the half.
A short while later and former Royalist Luke Evans was also lucky to stay on the pitch after planting his elbow into the face of John Henry-Hayden.
But it was late in the half and Uxbridge managed to get themselves in front when Jake Parsons got past Burgess and crossed for Mark Nichols to get his first of the game.
It was less than a minute after the second half started and Nichols added his second when he converted Dyer's cross with a suspision of offside.
Windsor responded instantly when Ben Porter put Michael Chennels through and he rounded Rob Bullivant and slotted in.
It was all level just after the hour mark when James Edgerley flicked on Sam Mazurek's long kick putting John Henry-Hayden clean through to beat Bullivant.
Just as it looked like the visitors might get away with a share of the points Parsons broke again and found Nichols to complete his hat-trick.
Boths sides looked to add to their respective tallies and had it not been for Marien Ifura literally throwing himself in front of the ball Parsons would have added another goal for Uxbridge.
