Windsor & Eton recorded a long overdue win beating Newport IOW 3-1 at St. George's Park.
A goal in each half from Ben Porter and a first half strike from Michael Chennels Helped Windsor to their first win in five games.
Windsor were quick out of the blocks and early chances from James Edgerley, Ben Porter and Ricci Dolan should have seen the visitors go ahead early on.
The did manage to get themselves in front mid-way through the half when Newport keeper Geoff Sim sent Porter tumbling and referee Davies awarded a penalty.
Porter stepped up to take the penalty only for Sim to save but he managed to head in the rebound.
It wasn't long before the scores were level again when Mark Watson put the ball in at the second attempt after Windsor failed to clear their lines.
John Henry-Hayden came close to restoring the lead for Windsor but his effort went just the wrong side of the post.
Windsor regained the lead minutes before half time when Henry-Hayden dragged a shot across the goal which Michael Chennels managed to knock in.
Chennels, Henry-Hayden and Porter continued to cause major problems for the home defence going into the second half when all of a sudden it looked as if all their hard work had gone to waste.
With only 10 minutes gone in the second half the floodlights on one side of the pitch went out leading to a 15 minute break.
When play did restart it only last 48 seconds as the lights failed again and after another short break play was able to resume.
The result was more or less decide mid-way through the second half when Chennels was tripped in the box earning Windsor their second penalty of the night.
Porter stepped up again and this time made no mistake with his spot kick.
Windsor continued to frustrate their opponents and a foul by Jamie Dyer on Henry-Hayden earned the Newport defender a second yellow card and an early shower.
