Windsor & Eton's FA Trophy run has come to an end after a 2-1 defeat at home against Premier Division Kings Lynn.
Michael Chennels gave the home side a first half lead but a Alex Notman penalty and Grant Cooper effort were enough for Kings Lynn to progress.
If there was ever a game of two halves then this was it with the home side on top in the first half and the visitors in the second.
As early as the fourth minute Windsor should have been in front when Matt Seedel beat Shaun Marshall to a ball that had stuck in the muddy surface, rounding the stranded keeper and shooting only for Grant Cooper to clear.
They continued to push throughout the half despite the heavy, wet pitch and were unlucky not to have taken the lead earlier than they did.
Windsor took what was a deserved lead after 33 minutes when Seedel helped on a long clearance which set Michael Chennels on his way and the Windsor front man fired past Marshall.
The momentum of the game for the second half swung in the favour of Kings Lynn who, had it not been for a double save from Sam Mazurek, should have equalised in the opening couple of minutes.
However, there wasn't much that Mazurek could do with the equaliser when it arrived on 71 minutes.
Mark Burgess slipped in the area and as he tried to get up caught the ball with his arm and a penalty awarded that Alex Notman squeezed under Mazurek's body.
Just a few minutes later and Kings Lynn took the lead, booking their place in he next round.
Notman ran through avoiding challenge after challenge on the edge of the area when the ball eventually ran through to Copper who smashed the ball into the net.
