Windsor & Eton deservedly progressed into the next round of the FA Trophy following an impressive 2-0 win at home against Hampton & Richmond.
Second half goals from Michael Chennels and Matt Seedel put the tie beyond Hampton but it was the heroics of Sam Mazurek that kept Windsor in the match.
Windsor were looking to get off to start against their Ryman League Premier Division opponents and came very close to doing so.
Ben Porter managed to go round keeper Matt Lovett but his effort was blocked by Graham Harper.
For the rest of the half both sides were reduced to speculative efforts that failed to really trouble either keeper until first half injury time.
Porter played in Michael Chennels down the right and his cross was met by the head of Matt Seedel who sent the ball just wide of the post.
Into the second half and Windsor started well again with Ricci Dolan having his effort well saved by Matt Lovett.
Hampton came very close on the hour when Glen Harris' corner was headed goal wards by Matt Elverson and headed off the line and into Sam Mazurek's arms by Craig Vargas.
Minutes later and they thought they had taken the lead when Ian Hodges turned in Barrie Matthews cross only for the assistant referee to raise his flag.
Windsor picked themselves up and started to push forward again and twice came close through Chennels only for Lovett and Harper to deny him.
A mistake by Seedel allowed substitute Lawrence Yaku to play in Hodges but he was unable to find a way past Mazurek.
Windsor finally got the lead they deserved on 74 minutes when Chennels latched onto Will Dunlop's long ball, getting past Elverson and then lobbing Lovett.
Mazurek then pulled off two more fantastic saves to deny Yaku and Hodges before Seedel put the match beyond Hampton.
Jon Case played the ball through to Seedel who was met by an on-rushing Lovett who was again lobbed.
Into injury time and the drama wasn't over as Hampton were awarded a penalty after Seedel fell over in the area onto the ball.
Ryan Lake stepped up to take the spot kick only for Mazurek to get his body behind the ball and keep it out to cap off a fine individual performance.
