MATCH REPORT
CINDERFORD TOWN 2 - 3 WINDSOR & ETON
FA Trophy Preliminary Round | Saturday 7th October 2006
ROYALISTS THROUGH IN TROPHY

Ricci Dolan Windsor & Eton made it safely through to the next round of the FA Trophy with a 3-2 win away at Cinderford Town.

Goals from Ben Porter, Ricci Dolan and Michael Chennels saw Windsor through with Matt Seedel also missing a penalty.

Windsor got off to a great start with just ten minutes gone when James Edgerley's free kick was knocked in by the outstreched leg of Ben Porter.

Porter could have added another just a couple of minutes later but his effort went over the bar.

It seemed as if everything was falling to Porter's feet as he was given another chance when Ricci Dolan's effort was blocked allowing Matt Seedel to cross for Porter who saw his effort saved.

Windsor were then left to rue those missed chances when Darryl Addis was able to nip in and knock the ball past Sam Mazurek.

Cinderford show brief glimpses of getting back into the game with efforts from Addis and Richard Kerr being well saved.

Windsor managed to get back in front in first half injury time when Matt Seedel was bundled over on the edge of the area and Dolan slotted the free kick past the wall and in the net.

The second half saw the introduction od Stuart Tanfield who replaced Terry O'Connor and he soon had a hand in setting up Windsor's third.

Tanfield's cross was headed down by Seedel giving Chennels the opportunity to finish, which he gladly took.

The score should have increased minutes later when Marvin Thompson brought down Seedel earning Windsor a penlaty that Seedel took but was saved by Lewis Skyers.

Porter and Dolan continued to get shots on goal but couldn't get any mor past Skyers.

Matt Williams gave Cinderford a glimmer of hope when his run down the right saw him cut inside and shoot past Mazurek.

Cinderford were lucky not to finish with ten men when Burns slapped Dolan across the face but the Cinderford midfielder escaped with just a yellow card.

Windsor could have added more in injury time but Tanfield shot over and Skyers denied Dolan.
