ROYALISTS PAY THE PENALTY

Windsor & Eton were still looking for an away win in the league after going down 1-0 away at Folkestone Invicta.

Kevin Watson scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in what can only be described as a poor game all round.

Dave Carroll's side had put in impressive performances over the past three weeks and were looking to extend thier good run, but thhat was not the case today.

In a dire first half were both defences were easily able to soak up whatever was thrown at them, neither side could forge a decent chance.

The second half was not that different from the first, but an early moment of insparation looked like it may get Windsor going.

Emond Protain headed over the home defence and Adam Wallace was away. As the Windsor striker raced through he was pulled bback and no free kick given.

The referee claimed that there was no pulling despite the collar of Wallace's shirt was now hanging off.

For Folkestone they got the turn of fortune they were looking for when Chris Wright got into the box and was sent tumbling by Jamie Jarvis.

Kevin Watson stepped up and slotted past Kieron Drake to give the home side the lead.

Windsor made changes to try and force a way through but as in the rest of the game they could not find a way through.
