REBELS TAKE CHRISTMAS SPOILS

There was no Christmas cheer for Windsor & Eton supporters as they suffered another defaet this time 3-0 at home to Slough Town.

A goal in each half from Ian Hodges and an own goal on the stroke of half time from Jamie Jarvis set up the win for Slough.

Windsor looked good for the opening 20 minutes and, although not actually creating a decent chance, they looked to have the upper hand on te visitors defence.

However, that was a good as it got for the home side and on 21 minutes Sough took the lead.

Gareth McCleary managed to put the ball in the box which was left by Dave Tilbury allowing Ian Hodges to turn and shoot past Kieron Drake.

Hodges came close again minutes later, this time Drake was equal to the attempt and the danger was cleared.

The lead was doubled in first half injury time when Aaron Steele floated a free kick into the Windsr area and Jamie Jarvis sent a looping header over Drake and into his own net.

Any chances of getting back into the game were all but gone mintes after the start of the second half.

Windsor defender Ralf Little and Slough striker Gareth McCleary were both chasing the ball and as it rolled off the pitch Little slid infront of McCleary and the Slough striker went to ground.

The Windsor players were stunned to see the assistant referee signal a penalty which Hodges put past Drake.

Lee Charles came close to pulling a goal back when his looping header was somehow cleared off the line.

Substitutions form both side could do nothing to change the score, although Darron Wilkinson came very close and was only denied by the head of Jamie Jarvis.
