CASE EARNS WINDSOR OVERDUE WIN

Dave Carroll was all smiles as his side recorded a long overdue win at home to Folkeston Invicta.

A single Jon Case goal late in the second half was enough to earn Windsor only their second win of the season.

Windsor manager put both his new loan signings straight into the side as a new look strike force.

Lee Charles from Worthing and Gavin Holligan from Lewes have both joined on a months loan.

Folkestone had looked the better of the two sides in the first half but were unable to create any clear cut chances with the odd effort flying past the posts.

Windsor weren't much better as Lee Kersey and Gavin Holligan both headed over from close range.

The second half saw early chance for both sides with Stuart Myall heading over for Folekstone and Holligan having a shot blocked by Tony Kessell.

Case played in Lee Charles but the Windsor striker could only watch his effort scrape the post after doing well to control the ball.

By now Windsor hadtaken control of the game and when Craig Lewington's free kick came crashing own from the underside of the cross bar after a deflectionf off of a defender, it looked as if it would be another one of those games.

But on 78 minutes Windsor managed the goal that they had deserved for their second half pfressure.

James Edgerley did well to get down the left and his cross managed to find Case at the far side of the area where he shot past Kessell for his second goal of the season.

Windsor were left to defend the last ten minutes and were literally throwing bodies in the way to earn their victory.
