EARLY GOALS SPELL MORE TROUBLE FOR ROYALISTS

A much improved performance from Windsor & Eton wasn't enough to prevent another defeat, this time away at Fisher Athleic.

Goals fom Matt Lovell and Steve Watts in the opening 8 minutes were enough to deny Windsor a muvh needed victory.

The opening couple of minutes had been good for Windsor who managed to get close but with no end product.

But after just three minutes the home side had got themselves infront after confussion in the Windsor penalty area saw Matt Lovell nip in and score.

Five minutes later the lead was doubled when what looked like a simple ball for the Windsor defence to deal with turned out to be the perfect set-up for Steve Watts to slot past Kieron Drake.

From then on Windsor almost seemed to take control of the game and came close to getting back into the game.

Changes at half time saw Peter Holsgrove and Michael Gorman replaced by Paul Coyne and Dave Tilbury, who returns after 10 weeks out injured.

Windsor started to create more and it was more bad luck for Adam Wallace who was denied twice with unbelievable blocks.

First, James Edgerley crossed and Wallace lined up a strike that was somehow deflected wide by Tim Clancy.

Then he was sent through by Paul Coyne and with what looked like only the keeper to beat, which he did, Francis Duku came out of nowhere to head the ball off the line.

Windsor battled on through the half and despite glimpses of good play were unable to get hemselves back in to the game.
