ANOTHER DEFEAT FOR ROYALISTS

It was yet another bad day for Windsor & Eton as they suffered their 7th league defeat in 11 games away at Heybridge Swifts.

Goals in the first half from Danny Hill and Cliff Akurang were enough to see Windsor finish pointless again.

Despite a couple of early chances that were sent high over the bar, Windsor were relativley quiet throughout the game.

Heybridge, on the other hand, took their chances when hey were presented to them.

Danny Hill managed to get through the Winsor defence before slotting past Kieron Drake.

A stunning save from Drake prevented Heybridge from doubling their lead when Cliff Akurang's cross was deflected goalwards by Ryan Spencer.

Windsor were left with a mountain to climb five minutes before half time.

They failed to deal with a free kick and the ball eventually found its way to the feet of Akurang who's first effort was superbly saved by Drake but the Windsor keeper could do nothing with the rebound.

The second half was quiet in comparison with neither side adding to the score line.

Kris Lee came closest with two headers which required Drake to produce more heroics.

Had it not been for the likes of Kieron Drake, Lee Kersey and Kamie Jarvis, Windsor would have been on the wrong end of a rout.
