ROYALISTS OUT OF TROPHY

Windsor & Eton are out of the FA Trophy after falling at the first hurdle against Uxbridge at Stag Meadow.

Despite Adam Wallaces early goal Uxbridge won the tie with a double strike from Paul Freeley.

Windsor Ahead

It was the perfect start for Windsor as they got themselves ahead early through Adam Wallace.

With less than two minutes on the clock James Cox worked well down the right before supplying the perfect ball to Wallace who slotted past Daryl Pelton.

This was the third game running that Wallace had given his side the lead and, as in the previous two, it was squandered again.

Late in the half Paul Coyne lost out to Gavin Bamford who managed to squeeze the ball into Lee Tunnell and although Kieron Drake managed to get down to the ball it bounced up off him leaving Paul Feeley with an easy header.

Feeley doubled his goal count on the hour mark when John Swift headed down Mark Nicholls free kick and Felley nipped in at the far post.

Wallace came very close to levelling the score moments later when he got his head to a Richard Wilson cross only for Pelton to make the save.

Late on Wallace blasted over after being put through by a Jamie Jarvis flick but by then the writing was on the wall for Windsor.
