MCDONNELl HAT-TRICK SEES OFF ROYALISTS

Windsor & Eton supporters were left wondering what went wrong as their side were left beaten 4-1 away at Bromley.

David Warner had put the visitors ahead but a hat-trick from Nic McDonnell and another from Joe Vines secured a home win.

Still looking for their first win of the season made a slow start and almost found themselves behind in the opening minute.

Kieron Drake tried to punch the ball away but only found Fraser Logan who's shot came flying back off the bar.

Logan turned provider minutes later with Tutu Henrique volleying wide.

Windsor, against the run of play, took the lead when David Warner latched onto Drake's long clearance and managed to lob Andy Walker.

The lead didn't last long as Nic McDonnell was quick to pounce onto Barry Gardner's cross to shoot past Drake.

Windsor had chances to get back in front with Paul and Peter Holsgrove both shooting wide of the goal.

These misses would come back to haunt Windsor as minutes before the break Bromley went ahead.

Gardner's cross hit Jamie Jarvis and the ball span on the line and Drake's attempted clearance was scuffed straight to McDonnell who had an easy finish.

The second half wasn't that old before Bromley added a third when Joe Vines headed in Gardners corner.

Richard Wilson, who had impressed in the reserve team match on Wednesday, came on to replace Matt Davies and was unlucky not to pull one back.

He was played in and managed to get a shot off which was saved by the feet of Walker.

The game was well and truly over in the 77th minute when Lee Holsgrove pulled down Tutu Henrique earning him his second yellow of the game and Bromley a penalty.

McDonnell stepped up to take the kick and slotted past Drake to complete his hat-trick.
