ROYALISTS THROW AWAY VICTORY

Windsor & Eton let slip what looked like certain victory after a very good first half to draw 1-1 away at Redbridge.

Dave Tilbury had put Windsor ahead in the first half but a second half strike for Ian Luck shared the points.

The Scoring For Windsor

This was definitely a game of two halves with the visitors edging the first 45 minutes.

Although their were few opportunities Windsor seemed to dominate the play and made their one chance count.

Matt Bicknell's corner was played into Adam Wallace and after having two attempts blocked a third attempted clearance came back off the leg of Dave Tilbury and into the net.

Having been on top for the opening half Windsor looked as if they would see the game out quite comfortably, but they were met by a resurgent Redbridge in the second half.

Despite an early chance for Windsor which saw Bicknell's free kick controlled and struck by David Warner, forcing Clark Masters to parry the ball and Tilbury's follow up effort blocked, it wasn't going to be Windsor's half.

Redbridge pressed and got their reward just before the hour when Ian Luck struck a shot from 25 yards which flew past Kieron Drake to level the scores.

David Collins tried the same thing again a few minutes later but this time was unable to beat Drake who did well to tip the ball over the bar.

Both sides tried to find a way through in the later stages but were unable to do so resulting in the points being shared.
