Windsor Manager Dave Carroll Can Now Start To Build For Next Season
Windsor manager Dave Carroll made several changes to the starting line up from the last match indicating that players will have to prove their worth for next season.
In came Iain Gardiner, Terry O'Connor, Dominic White, Adam Goldie, Spencer Walsh, Adam Crittenden and Younis Nabil, and they didn't make it easy for the newly crowned Champions.
The match started with Windsor versus Windsor as Yeading had to borrow their hosts away shirts due to a kit mix up.
Yeading may have had the lion's share of the possession but it was the hosts that would come up with the better chances.
A mistake by Nevin Saroya let in Nabil who elected to blast across goal sending the ball well wide of the post.
Nabil came close again when he was able to control the ball down and let off a shot that was well saved by Ross Flitney.
Terry O'Connor then picked out Joe Nartey, who's chest and volley was just a shade wide of the post.
Dave Tilbury even got in on the act and his effort from the edge of the area ws well saved.
Yeading came out for the second half sporting their normal away kit but still struggling to find the form that had won them the league title.
Windsor, on the other hand, were still producing the chances and came close again when Nabil found Morgaro Gomis and his shot only found Flitney.
The visitors finally managed some serious chances through DJ Campbell who thought he had lost out to Iain Gardiner but when he tried to smother the ball for a second time it spilt to Campbell who played in Davis Haule who shot over and empty net.
His next effort did pay off as Emond Protain fed the ball through to Campbell and he added his 24th league goal of the seaon.
The match became one of half chances and not much else until injury time saw Windsor pull level.
David Warner out paced Bobby Behzadi and sent in a low cross which was stabbed in from close range by Joe Nartey for his first goal fro Windsor.
The draw was a fair result in a typical end of season game which will now see Yeading go off to bigger and better things and Windsor re-group and prepare for next season.
