ROYALISTS THROW IT AWAY

Windsor & Eton will have to wait until next week to to get themselves safe from relegation after suffering a 4-0 defeat away at Leyton.

A hat-trick from Leli Bajada and another from Mark Hayes condemned Windsor to another defeat in a match that saw three sent off.

Windsor started well with an early chance for David Warner which forced keeper James Hasell into a fine save.

The visitors continued to apply the pressure and an ugly side to the game started to show through.

Tackles were flying in from all sides and as the officials started to lose control of the match Des Thomas planted a head but on Peter Holsgrove and got away with it.

Windsor tried to remain calm but yet another moment of madness from keeper Chuck Martini allowed Leyton to take an early lead.

His kick struck James Hawes on the back of the head leaving Leli Bajada with an easy finish.

Windsor had been showing signs of turning things around but things were almost made worse when a corner wasn't cleared and Thomas volleyed against the bar.

The officials continued to fail to get a grip of the game and one tackle too many sparked a 22 man brawl which saw Leyton captain Scott Honeyball and Windsor's Peter Holsgrove sent off and Mark Saphocleous pick up a yellow card.

The half time break seemed to calm down the players but there was still that element that the officials failed to get hold off.

Windsor could have got themselves back into the game when Martini's free kick was chested down by David Warner allowing him to turn Saphocleous but was denied by a fine save from Hasell.

It went from bad to worse from there on in for Windsor as they conceded three in eight minutes.

Substitute Matt Hayes was able to lob Martini from 30 yards and that was followed by two from Bajada latching onto two crosses from the right to complete his hat-trick.

Referee Smith wasn't finished with his card display as he produced a second yellow for Saphocleous with ten minutes remaining.
