WINDSOR OUT IN EXTRA TIME

Windsor & Eton were once again knocked out of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup by Chesham United losing 1-0 in extra time at The Meadow.

A single Greg Deacon strike was enough to send Chesham into the semi finals in a less than entertaining match.

Windsor, still suffering with key players missing, brought Adam Goldie, Dominic White and Lee Nathan into the squad.

It took a while for anything meaningful to happen in the game with Windsor earning the first opportunity at goal.

Peter Holsgrove's free kick was rolled to brother Paul on the edge of the area and he shot over the bar.

Chesham got their only real chance of the half minutes later when Stev Sinclair's corner was headed goalwards by Stuart Hole and saved by Chuck Martini at the second attempt.

The second half saw an equally dull affair with the visitors carving out the only chance of the half.

Symon James got down the left and set up Adam Goldie on the edge of the area with his shot forcing Tom Gott to save.

The game went in to extra time and minutes before the end of the first period Chesham took the lead.

Andre Scarlett's cross was headed away by Justin Skinner but only as far as Greg Deacon who shot from 20 yards beating Martini.

Windsor came close in the second period of extra time when Peter Holsgroves 25 yard free kick came back off the cross bar.
