WINDSOR TOO GOOD FOR BOROUGH

Windsor & Eton players put the horror performance of last week behind them to record a fine 2-0 home win aginst Harrow Borough.

Goals in the first half from Peter Holsgrove and Lewis Cook were enough to see Windsor claim all three points.

Windsor got off to a shaky start, trying to feel out their opponents but never looked to be in any real trouble.

Apart from one speculative effort from Leward Newton which went well wide, they never really troubled Mario Celloni.

It took Windsor just 15 minutes to open the scoring when Lee Holsgrove's looping ball fell kindly for brother Peter who volleyed past Keita Karamoko.

They nearly doubled the lead minutes later. A poor goal kick from Celloni was flicked on by Justin Skinner and then by Lee Holsgrove allowing Symon James to run through forcing Karamoko into a superb save.

The lead was doubled just after the half hour when Dave Tilbury's free kick from just inside his own half finally found its way to Dave Carroll. The Windsor Manager's cross was flicked on by James leaving Lewis Cook to shoot in off Clemence Lopez's leg.

Windsor were unlucky not to have got a third on the stroke of half time. Peter Holsgrove got free down the right and lay the ball across to Symon James who's shot was blocked The second half was a more subdude affair with only one noteable chance falling to the visitors.

Fabio Valenti's free kick was played towards the far post where substitute Naoki Mouri managed to get his head to the ball but was denied by a flying Celloni.
