GOMIS OFF AS ROYALISTS BOW OUT
It may have been a defeat but it was a game to prove just how strong Dave Carroll's squad really is.
A single Paul Ellis goal late on was enough to see Staines Town through to the next round of the Bryco Cup but it could have so easily gone the other way.

Morgaro Gomis Gets His Second Yellow Card
Carroll made ten changes to the side that started the last match just two days ago with Mario Cenolli the only player to start both games.
Considering it was a side made up of squad players, Windsor looked extremely comfortable even when they were reduced to ten men.
Morgaro Gomis had received his first booking on the half hour for kicking the ball away and then a second when he and Richard Gell started a shoving match which should have seen both players receive a straight red.
Staines best chance of the half came in the later stages when, from a Jon McDonald throw, Tariq Nabil hit the post.
Nabil then shot wide after rounding Ryan Parsons from 8 yards.
Windsor had to wait until first half injury time to get their first real chance when Symon James broke through the Staines defence but his shot went just over the bar.

The second half was much like the first with no real chances and moments of controversy.
Midway through the half Symon James found himself through on goal with only Matt Lovett to beat who saved at James' feet.
James went to ground, not expecting any decision, which Lovett took exception to and shoved the Windsor striker to the floor.
Witnessed by the assistant referee, Lovett got away with just a yellow card but the Windsor bench and supporters were left wondering what happened to their penalty?
As the half ticked by extra time seemed more and more likely especially when Staines hot the post for a second time from an Ellis free kick.
Staines did finally take the lead in the final ten minutes. Gavin Tomlin's corner was played out to Ellis on the edge of the area who hit a superb shot that beat Cenolli.
This may have spelled defeat for the home side but it has given manager Dave Carroll a real selection headache as all the players put in a superb performance.
