ROYALISTS GRIP ON TITLE ALMOST GONE

It will take a minor miracle for Windsor & Eton to lift the league title afer losing 1-0 away at Bromley.

A single John Wilfort goal was enough to take the points and knock the Royalists off the top of the league.

Windsor started the brighter of the two teams and were unlucky no to have been going in at half time in the lead.

Two free kicks from Dave Carroll where Windsor's best chances of the half.

His first was helped on by Leon Townley who found Craig O'Connor who shot wide.

He decided that he would go for goal with his second and from 25 yards out forced Danny Harwoood into a great save.

Bromely managed to muster a single chance just on half time when Adolphi Amoako flicked the ball over the head of Dave Tilbury and then volleyed over the bar.

The second half swung the way of the hosts even though it took until midway through the half for them to fashion a chance.

Mark Watson crossed to find substitute Paul Vines who was only denied by a fine save from Chuck Martini.

Windsor replied with there best chance of the game when a cross from Ryan Parsons was volleyed back across goal by Kieran Gallagher. Craig O'Connor instinctivley stuck out a leg and the ball went just over the bar.

Bromley finally took the lead with ten minutes left when a John Myatt corner was headed in by John Wilford at the far post.

Tony Reid had the chance to put one over his former club when a run from substitute Morgaro Gomis put Reid in the clear but he shot wide.

The one piece of good news to come out of the game was the return of Kieren Adams who had been out since February with a broken foot.
