ROYALISTS GO DUCK HUNTING

Dennis Greene watched his side cruise into the semi finals of the Berks & Bucks cup after beating Aylesbury Utd 4-2 at Buckingham Road.

Craig O'Connor bagged a hat-trick and Jermaine Lowe got his first Windsor goal with Lewis Pritchard and Rory Hunter scoring for Aylesbury.

Greene had already made his intentions for the Berks & Bucks cup clear, we will win it and it this display was anything to go by, he has every reason to believe it.

Jason Cousins was rested along with Dave Carroll who picked up an ankle injury at Dulwich on Saturday.

Even with two of the most influential players missing, Windsor were not going to be kept quite.

It took them all of six minutes to break down a young Aylesbury side when Keith Scott cut through the midfield and then played in Craig O'Connor who rounded Kevin Davies and slotted the ball in the net.

Aylesbury were level just a minute later when Chuck Martini call to collect a long clearance but was just beaten to the ball by the head of Lewis Pritchard.

O'Connor wasn't to be outdone as he put Windsor back in front immediately.

He chased the Aylesbury defence into the corner before winning the ball and then positioning himself on the right hand corner of the area and lifted the ball over Davies' head and in.

O'Connor wasn't the only Windsor player to be showing his full potential. Jermaine Lowe was having a great opening ten minutes and should have added a third goal when he was played in by Keith Scott, but his first effort was blocked by Davies and the second by John Marsh.

A third was added midway through the half and it was O'Connor and Lowe doing all the work.

Lowe battled through the midfield before holding the ball just long enough before sliding an inch perfect ball to O'Connor who made no mistake in completing his hat-trick.

Lowe's hard work and persistence didn't go un-rewarded. Scott again broke free of the Aylesbury defence and un-selfishly slid the ball across the goal for Lowe to get his first goal for Windsor.

O'Connor could have added a fourth when he got on the end of a Keith Scott flick but fired wide.

Leon Townley hit the bar when he got his head to a Spencer Walsh corner which was the last action in a Windsor dominated half.

Windsor looked to sit back in the second half, content with their three goal lead they replaced Dave Tilbury with Leigh Rosier and Jermaine Lowe with Kieran Adams.

Aylesbury tried to mount a fight back and came close.

Alvin Bubb had his effort turned away by Martini as did Ryan Wiffin with Leon Townley blocking the follow up effort.

John Winter even hit the bar when he got on the end of a John Marsh corner.

Rory Hunter pulled a goal back in the last ten minutes when his shot was deflected over Martini off of Townley.

Despite Windsor making no real opportunities in the second half, they were always in control and thoroughly deserved passage to a semi final encounter with Chesham Utd.
