SCOTT DOES IT AGAIN

Windsor & Eton extended their lead at the top of the table with a 1-0 win of Walton & Hersham at Stompond Lane.

A single first half headed goal from Keith Scott was enough to see his side take all three points.

It wasn't exactly easy for Windsor with Kieran Gallagher (groin), Matthew Brady (ill), Kieran Adams (ill) and Craig O'Connor (holiday) all absent.

Jermaine Lowe returned after illness and James Cox stepped up from the reserve team, but he lasted less than fifteen minutes and was replaced by Junior Jones.

The macth itself wasn't anything to get excited about with Walton getting the first of the limited chances.

Neil Lampton managed to get away and crossed for Simon Sobihy who sent a looping header just over the bar.

A rare mistake from Jason Cousins let Siobhy in but his cross flew across goal and thankfully to safety.

Windsor hadn't looked like doing much in the game until the 34th minute when they took the lead.

Jermaine Lowe released Brhaim Eloumani who crossd from the left. Both Keith Scott and Junior Jones rose for the header with Scott heading into the ground and into the goal.

The second half was just as bad as the first with both teams still looking unimpressive.

Jermaine Lowe should have done better with his effort after being put through by Junior Jones.

Simon Sobihy's hopeful ball was almost in by Carl Gibbs but the Walton striker had crashed straight into Martini, conceding the foul.

Another ambitious effort, this time from Adam Thompson, eluded Cousins allowing Neil Lampton to cross. Both Wes Goggin and Reggie Savage tried to get the ball over the line but Martini nipped in to carry the ball clear.

Cousins was on hand to clear one last effort in injury time when he headed a Wes Goggin header off the line.

Not a pretty game but three points are three points!
