O'CONNOR STRIKE SHARES POINTS

Windsor & Eton did well to come away from Worthing with a point in terrible conditions drawing 2-2 at Woodside Road.

Kieth Scotts opener was cancelled out by Shaun Grice with Darren Freeman adding a second before Craig O'Conor stuck late on.

Craig O'Connor Rescued Windsor Again

Windsor got the best start they could have hoped for in the driving wind and rain against a team tipped to finish well this season.

Craig O'Connor managed to get clear down the left and his cross eluded keeper Will Packham allowing Keith Scott to volley in.

The lead was short lived as Owen Hill got past the Windsor defence and crossed from the right which Shaun Grice headed past Chuck Martini.

Both teams tried to press on but the conditions were proving hard work for both sides however, Worthing did manage to go in at half time a goal up.

Sam Francis broke down the left and crossed towards Darren Freeman. Martini looked to have blocked the cross but the ball spun up and Freeman was able to flick the ball in while on the floor.

The weather was no better in the second half and the condition were getting slippery which lead to Windsor picking up four yellow cards. Jason Cousins and Kieran Gallagher in the first half and Craig O'Connor and Jermaine Lowe in the second.

Worthing should have seen the game put beyond their visitors when Leon Townley pulled down Freeman but fortunatley for the Windsor defender no penalty was awarded.

Windsor finally got themselves level with only a few minutes to go when Andrew Beech tried to help a Dave Tilbury clearance onto his keeper but put it past him allowing Craig O'Connor to nip in and score.
