ROYALISTS BOW OUT OF TROPHY
A spirited performance wasn't enough to see Windsor & Eton progress in the FA Trophy after losing 3-1 at home against Canvey Island.
A first half goal from Junior McDougald and two in the second half from Jeff Minton either side of a strike form Craig O'Connor took the Essex side through.

Craig O'Connor Kept Windsor In The Game
Windsor went out with the intention of making it a difficult day for the current Ryman Premier Division leaders and almost caused them an early upset.
A mistake by Ben Chenery almost allowed Keith Scott an early chance before recovering.
Canvey also had every intention of getting the game over with early and wehn Leon Townley took down Neil Midgley on the edge of the area, Jeff Minton hit a superb free kick which forced Chuck Martini in to an equally good save.
Canvey's next free kick, just minutes later when Spencer Walsh pulled down Minton, proved more successful.
Ty Gooden tried to play in Neil Gregory, but his shot was blockled by Dave Carroll earning Canvey a corner.
Minton took the corner and the ball seemed to miss out everyone except McDuogald was stabbed in at the far post.
Windsor never gave up looking for a pre-half time eqaliser and nearly got it when Craig O'Connor got his head onto a Ryan Parsons cross and sent the ball just wide of the goal.
Martini did well to recover when he scuffed a clearance when trying to get past McDougald gifteing the Canvey striker a chance which Martini did well to block.
Martini made up for that by setting Kieran Gallagher on his way who in turn put Craig O'Connor through and he was only denied by a well timed challenge from Steve Ward.
Windsor had been looking good in the first half and it wasn't looking like the heavy defeat that many thought it was going to be.
The second half, though, couldn't have got off to a worse start for the home side when Jeff Minton was left alone in the Windsor area to head in.
This only saw Windsor step up a gear and were almost helped in their task by Chenery when Jermaine Lowe pumped a long ball into the box and Chenery and Jason Cousins both rose for the ball with the Canvey defender hitting a powerful header towards his own goal.
Windsor did get the goal they deserved when another Chenery mistake allowed Craig O'Connor to run through and skip round Danny Potter before slotting in and celebrating in his own unique way.
Canvey looked shaken by this and it almost looked as if Windsor would cause a huge upset and when Potter fumbled a Dave Carroll corner he was relieved to see his defence block efforts from Dave Tilbury and Keith Scott on the line.
Minton made sure of the result with just seven minutes left when he stabbed in his second of the match and substitute Kevin Dobinson was unlucky to see his volley come back off the crossbar.
Windsor had a chance to add another goal to the score sheet when Keith Scott was pushed to he floor trying to get to a Kieran Gallagher cross.
Dave Carroll stepped up to take the penalty but was unable to get past Potter.
