9/1 FOR THE TITLE? NOW IS THE TIME TO BET LIKE MEN

WINDSOR fans who think the side is good enough to take the title can put their money where their mouth is, thanks to the bookmakers, Buzzbet.co.uk.
The Sheffield-based firm offers odds on all of the principle non-league divisions and the strong start by the Royalists has seen them cut from their original odds of 20/1 to 9/1.
Carroll...Made Wycombe's Dream Team
Unsurprisingly, Lewes are favourites at 7/2, the price Slough Town were given at the start of the season (in spite of a stuttering start they are still 11/2).
But for those of you who like a bit more of a gamble consider this. Windsor, who made the last eight of the FA Trophy in 2002/03 are 800/1 to go all the way this time and lift the prize.
“Looks like a good price considering how we went last season,” said Dennis Greene, when told of the odds. “I think it would be worth a fiver of anyone’s money!”
And you wouldn’t be able to bet much more than that. With a maximum payout of £10,000 a bet of just £12.50 to win would stretch these turf accountants to their limit.
Maybe one of those who may be interested is midfielder Dave Carroll, that’s if you believe the people who run the Wycombe Wanderers fan site: www.chairboys.co.uk.
Carroll wins a place in their Dream Team XI but under the category of ‘Life Atfer Wycombe’ it says “Will probably become a full-time gambler.”

HAVING a rock solid defence is always a manager’s dream but it has left Dennis Greene with one dilemma – he’s still not sure if Chuck Martini is a good goalkeeper.
Martini impressed during the pre-season matches to such an extent that Greene decided to release long-serving Trevor Bunting and give the number one jersey to the newcomer.
But the manager still hasn’t had a chance to see what the new boy can do. “The defence has been so good that Chuck hasn’t had any saves to make!” said Greene.
“He hasn’t really been able to do anything about the goals we have conceded and only seems to have crosses to deal with, which so far he has done well. I shouldn’t complain, of course.”
It’s not really too surprising when you look at the experience in front of him. Carroll, Jason Cousins and Keith Scott (who all occupy the central positions) have a combined aged of 105!
