ROYALISTS GET SOME JUSTICE

It was business as usual for Windsor & Eton at Stag Meadow as they beat Met Police 2-0.

Keith Scott opened in the first half with the second coming as an own goal.

Having lost to the Met in the FA Cup already this season their was more need to be aware of a potential defeat.

It looked like it may go the way of the first meeting between the two side with Windsor throwing everything at the Met's goal but nothing to show for it.

Craig O'Connor had his effort blocked on the line after the Police failed to clear a Dave Carroll free kick.

Carroll then came close himself when his free kick was deflected just round the post.

It was Keith Scott who finally broke through when he got to Jack Smillie's cross before John Ashwood and headed against the bar. Scott was the quickest to react and headed in.

Spencer Walsh almost added a second on the stroke of half time when he struck a vicious shot from a Dave Carroll corner.

Windsor didn't hold back in the second half and should have doubled their lead right after the re-start.

Ryan Parson did well to make room down the left and finally set up Craig O'Connor to cross a ball which Keith Scott put over from close range. The referee spared his blushes by awarding a corner.

It was all over just on the hour when Met Police's captain Ian Batten, who scored the winner in the cup match, brought down Kieran Gallagher.

Dave Carroll floated the ball into the Police area and it was helped past Ashwood. Jack Smillie ran away celebrating but rumour has it that it was an own goal.
