Slough Town will be playing at Stag Meadow next year.
In a statement from club Chairman Peter Simpson, he explains that the agreement has been finalised.
The statement reads:-
I am pleased to be able to report that a Groundshare Agreement has now been finalised with Slough Town Football Club.
The Agreement was originally negotiated and exchanged on 28 March but was conditional upon our obtaining an A grading for the Ground and was conditional also upon endorsement by the Slough Town Supporters Association.
We have now obtained an A grading for the Ground an, as you will have noted, we have since that time continued to undertake further works to improve facilities for the spectators.
I am advised that the Slough Town Supporters attended a meeting on 1 May to discuss options available to the Club and, after a lengthy discussion and presentation by Martyn Deaner, they voted 198 to support a groundshare with Windsor & Eton and 2 supporting a groundshare with Harrow Borough. In consequence the proposals were carried with a 99% majority.
It is my belief that both sides are now anxious to ensure that these arrangements work satisfactorily and, from the Windsor point of view, profitably.
A series of meetings will be set up over the next week or two and I hope that representatives of the Supporters will be involved in those meetings to ensure that any potential difficulties are resolved and that we are able to maximise the benefit from this groundshare for the enhancement of the Club and the playing side.
P.A. Simpson
Chairman
