NO ONE SAID IT WOULD BE EASY

No one ever said that promotion comes easy, but when you can hold one of your rivals with players missing you have to feel you are in with a chance.

With both Dave Carroll and Matt Brady injured, Windsor were without most of their creative flair and had to rely entirely on Shaun Dyke.

Although both teams shared the possession, it was Bromley who carved out the early chances.

Mark Harris managed to get clear of the visiting defence and attempt to chip over Trevor Bunting, but only managed to put the ball in the keepers hands.

Bromley were then denied what looked a penalty. Kirk Watts swung in a corner which Kieren Adams appeared to handle before clearing.

Adams then almost put in at the other end. He challenged Chuck Martini for a Michael Murphy free kick which Martini had to gather at the second attempt.

Bromley were then forced into an early change which saw the introduction of former Royalist Billy Manuel.

Jason McKoy was left with only Bunting to beat with the Windsor keeper doing well to keep the ball out. McKoy tried to follow up but the ball was cleared by Dave Tilbury and McKoy collided with the post.

Steffan Ball was also denied on the stroke of half time when, once again, Bunting pulled off another wonderful save.

Windsor never really seemed on top of their game and this could have cost them at the start of the second half.

Craig O'Connor had been taken down on the half way line. A situation that should have given Windsor the advantage soon had them in trouble.

Dave Tilbury took the free kick which went straight to Kirk Watts who ran through only to be stopped by keeper Bunting.

Windsor's only chance of the half fell to Shaun Dyke. Craig O'Connor had done well to beat Joe Vines and cross. Dyke connected and the effort was deflected wide.

Windsor should feel lucky to have come away with a point. If it wasn't for Trevor Bunting they wouldn't have even got that.
