HILL TO THE RESCUE - AGAIN!!

Gordon Hill once again emerged as the Super-Sub to help Windsor & Eton to a 3-1 home win against Molesey.

Goals from Craig O'Connor, Gordon Hill and Matt Brady, with Dean Canonville for Molesey, capped an fantastic week for manager Dennis Greene.

Following on from their impressive midweek display against Vauxhall Motors, Windsor & Eton continued their charge up the league.

Matt Brady provided numerous crosses from a combination of free kicks and corners but there was no end result.

Kieren Adams sent a few of them over off his head and Spencer Walsh connected well and had a thumping shot tipped over.

Sean Dyke was also supplying the ammunition but again, although there was someone on the end of his crosses, there wasn't the goal they deserved.

Windsor's opener came in slightly controversial circumstances.

Matt Brady's corner was flicked on by Dave Tilbury and Molesey keeper Edgar Pestana went up with Craig O'Connor and the two of them fell over the line.

The Molesey players protested, and may have had a case, but they were turned away by referee Mr Scott.

They had cause for further complaint minutes into the second half when Warren Burton seem to go down under a challenge from keeper Trevor Bunting, only for the referee to wave game on.

Molesey managed to pull level on 53 minutes. Dave Tilbury had taken down Danny Wright and the referee played a good advantage.

Andy Sayer crossed for Burton and hiss effort wasn't properly cleared and Dean Canonville pounced to equalise.

This also saw the introduction of Gordon Hill when he replaced Craig O'Connor.

Hill got straight into the action, and as he lined up to fire in a Ryan Parsons cross Ade Oloyinka kicked his standing leg from under him. No pen was awarded, but the danger wasn't over for Molesey.

Sean Dyke managed to get the ball back across to Matt Brady, who shot went just the wrong side of the post.

Windsor weren't really making things easy for themselves and it looked like they would regret missing some of their chances.

A mistake from Leon Townley allowed substitute Stefan O'Brien a free run on goal. His shot ballooned up off of Bunting and luckily Townley managed to recover to clear the danger away.

Windsor regained the lead on the back of some superb passing from Matt Brady and Kieren Adams. Their passing set up a shot for Brady which was only kept out by Pestana's studs.

Molesey failed to clear the resulting corner from Brady and Hill was able to slot the ball past Pestana.

The victory was confirmed in injury time. Oloyinka tripped Dyke on the edge of the Molesey area and up stepped Brady. His free kick was no match for the Molesey wall or Pestana.
