'BRING ON AYLESBURY' SAYS BOUYANT GREENE

MAGNIFICENT! That is the only word to describe Royalists' performance on Tuesday night as they reached the last 16 of the FA Trophy.

Windsor and Eton's 3-0 victory over Vauxhall Motors had a jubilant manager Dennis Greene purring after the success which took the Stag Meadow club into uncharted territory.

And Greene believes that the odyssey isn't over yet as they can now contemplate a fifth round trip to Aylesbury United. "We have been a given a very good draw as I consider us and Aylesbury to be the two weakest sides left in the competition," said Greene.

"We are more than capable of beating them. If we can win at Vauxhall Motors, who in all probability will finish runners up in the Unibond League, then we can see off Aylesbury."

Royalists took the game to the Ellesmere Port side and leading 3-0 at half time, they were able to keep out all that Motors could throw at them in the second half. "They were very surprised at the way we took the game to them in the first half. they didn't expect us to be so adventurous," added the Royalists' manager. "If we can do the same at Aylesbury, then there is no reason why we can't reach the last eight."

Greene though is facing up to what will be an important week for his side, beginning this Saturday with the visit of strugglers Molesey to Stag Meadow. "I hope that our trophy run will convince the people of Windsor to come and watch us more often", Greene wished. "The bigger crowds give the players a lift.

"Then before we tackle Aylesbury, we have the Berks and Bucks Cup tie on Wednesday and ideally, we will win all three games."

Greene though is still looking to strengthen his squad and he is hoping to bring in another striker, preferably one who is Trophy tied.

He has already captured defender Ryan Parsons from Wycombe Wanderers and the left back is set to make his Royalists' debut against Molesey, having not been eligible for the Trophy tie.
