HILL THE THRILL DOES IT AGAIN!

Gordon Hill made it a week to remember when he secured Windsor & Eton's passage into the 4th round of the FA Trophy.

Having scored the only goal on Tuesday night, Hill bagged two in his sides 3-2 win at Home to Thame Utd.

Gordon Hill
Hill....Double Delight

Thame had the better of the opening ten minutes and should have taken a commanding lead.

First, Jon Gardiner hit the post when both Leigh Rosier and Leon Townley failed to deal with Alan Foster's long kick.

Then, Gardiner put over from close range when he connected with a Mark West cross.

Windsor went on to dominate the half and carved numerous chances.

Matt Brady's free kick was flicked on by Kieren Adams and the ball fell for Leon Townley who's effort was blocked on the line.

Sean Dyke then went on to beat five Thame players before shooting, only for Andy Williams to stop he ball on the line.

Leigh Rosier also had a header well saved before Adams put an effort just past the post.

O'Connor was denied right at the end of the half when Brady slid the ball into his path and his shot was only just saved with Foster's feet.

Windsor started the second half as they had ended the first, on top, and it wasn't long before they had a much deserved lead.

Dyke burst past Tony Joyce and Thornton before crossing to O'Connor, who faked his shot allowing Brady in at the far post to give his side the lead.

Williams rescued Thame again when his well timed challenge on a clean through O'Connor prevented the striker from shooting.

O'Connor was then replaced by Hill in what was one of the most inspired substitutions, although the home support would get a fright before Hill got going.

Jemaine Ferreira, who had just come on himself, managed to get a cross in which Mark Jones put past Trevor Bunting.

The scores were level for less than five minutes before Hill's amazing display started.

Dyke's cross was flicked on by Adams and Hill came thundering in to head the ball past Foster. He then proceeded to celebrate by jumping into a pile of straw behind the goal.

Two minutes later he was at it again.

Dyke did well to flick the ball over Joyce's head and then lay off to Dave Carroll. His shot was parried into the air and there was Hill for an easy header.

Hill then tried to turn provider when he got through the Thame defence and decided to pull the ball back for Brady who's effort scraped the wrong side of the post.

Hill had a great chance to finish his hat-trick. Brady had come through the middle of the Thame midfield and played in Hill who fell over as he went to shoot.

Windsor then lost Adams after he got a boot in the face and had to go to hospital for stitches.

Thame did pull one back through Mark West deep into injury time but it was too little too late.
