WINDSOR NICK A POINT

Windsor & Eton were fortunate to come away with a point as they drew 1-1 at home to Metropolitan Police.

Jon Daly gave the visitors a first half lead but Matt Brady rescued the home with only a couple of minutes left.

Brady....Vital Strike

The first half had everything but chances with only one per side.

Windsor's came from a Leon Townley corner which flashed across the goal and was missed by everyone.

Met Police's was gifted by the assistant referee. Jon Daly was played through and he was a good 4yards offside. The assistant kept his flag down allowing Daly to shoot past Steve Williams.

The second half was more of the same, although Windsor will feel they should have got themselves in a position to win the game.

Sean Dyke had an effort blocked by Dave Newman. Matt Brady took the reulting corner and just as it looked like the ball was going in Craig O'Connor tried to make sure and put the ball wide.

Windsor then had two penalty claims turned down.

First O'Connor was brought down by Kori Davis and then Leigh Rosier was bundled to the floor as Met Police tried to clear the ball.

Gordon Hill then headed a Michael Murphy free kick against the post.

Windsor did manage an equaliser minutes from the end. Sean Dyke slid the ball to the edge of the Met Poice area where Matt Brady hit a blistering effort straight past Stuart Mackenzie.
