BOGNOR MAKE IT 3 OUT OF 3

Bognor Regis Town made it a triple win after beating Windsor & Eton 2-1 at Nyewood Lane.

The home side tooke the lead through Lees Stevens in the first half with Sean Dyke leveling in the second before Stevens added his second for the win..

Dyke....Superb Equaliser

In a game that could have gone either way both teams had their chances for an early lead.

Bognor's best chance came after 5 minutes when Lee Stevens crossed for Richard Hudson to head goalwards, but was denied by Steve Williams.

Miles Rutherford almost put the ball in his own net to give Windsor the lead when he tried to clear a Spencer Walsh cross.

Both sides tried to push forward but were unable to get through the respective defences until Bognor were given a little help from the officials.

Michael Birmingham played through to Lee Stevens who was offside, but nothing was given. He rounded Leon Townley and shot past Williams.

Bognor could have doubled their lead within a minute of the second half starting.

James Ford and Lee Stevens played their way through the Windsor defence but were blocked by a recovering Dave Tilbury. The rebound fell for Stevens but Williams recovered well to make the save.

Windsor managed to move up a couple of gears and should have put themselves back into the game.

Kieren Adams hit the top of the cross bar when he headed a Dave Carroll Corner.

Then, just minutes later, a Matt Brady corner fell to the feet of Craig O'Connor who sent the ball flying over from 2 yards out.

Windsor finally pulled level mid-way through the half when Sean Dyke worked into some space just outside the area and his shot from 20 yards just squeezed through the arms of Pat Lawrence.

Windsor managed to hold on until the last ten minutes when they seemed to lose their concentration after being denied a blatent corner.

While some of the Windsor players were arguing about the decision and others were making their way up thinking they had won a corner, Bognor took a quick goal kick which allowed Stevens to go through and seal the win.
