Royalists Hit Ascot For 5
A five star performance from Windsor & Eton earned them a third pre-season win beating Ascot United 5-2.
Goals from Craig Parrington, Shibou Miah, David Pearce, Jemel Johnson and Lee Bell were too much despite a goal in both halves from Ascot Utd.
It didn't take Windsor long to get off to a great start when Craig Parrington's cross eluded everyone in the box including the keeper and the ball ended up in the net.
Their lead was doubled mid-way through the half when Craig Parrington picked out Shibalu Miah who was able to lob the keeper.
Ascot pulled a goal back a minute later and Windsor should have restored their two goal lead on the stroke of half time.
Former Royalists Rob Saunders gave away a penalty taken by Martin Williams but the spot kick was saved.
A few changes in the early stages of the second half saw Windsor extend their lead when a poor back pass allowed David Pearce to round the keeper and finish from a tight angle.
Windsor all but wrapped up the match with 20 minutes to go when Jemel Johnson added a fourth closely followed by a second for Ascot.
Substitute Lee Bell completed the scoring five minutes later to maintain the unbeaten start.
