| 5 STAR ROYALISTS ALMOST THERE |
Just one more win stands between WIndsor & Eton and the league title after a 5-1 away win at relagated Bracknell Town. With one eye on a tough final game with VT FC Windsor manager Keith Scott made 5 changes from the team that saw off Bedfont Green only two days earlier. In came Nathan Jack, David Pearce, Scott Thomas, David Woozley and Martin Williams with Joe Chandiram, Marcus Richardson, Bruce Wilson, Andrew Fagan and Jake Parsons were all on the bench. Richardson's stay on the bench was very short lived as with just 10 minutes gone he replaced Michael Chennells after he was stretchered off the pitch. Windsor, as expected, started well but failed to make their possession count with numerous corners and half chances not finding the net. They did finally take the lead in the later stages of the first half when Scott Thomas' corner found the head of Steve Butler. The lead was soon doubled when a shot form David Pearce was tipped over earning a corner taken by Thomas and only cleared as far as Adam Dickens who made no mistake in beating Kyle Bradley. Straight after the break and Bracknell got themselves back into the match when Paul Abbot was able to pick out Tranell Richardson for an easy finish. The two goal advantage was soon restored when Dickens found former Bracknell striker Nathan Jack who turned his marker before firing past Bradley. Midway through the half and Jack made sure of the points when he was picked out by Pearce and again blasted past Bradley. There was still time for a final goal in the closing minutes when Dickens lifted a free kick over the wall and into the top corner. |
