| ROYALISTS PAY PRICE AS RUN ENDS |
Windsor & Eton's impressive run of unbeaten games came to an end today following a 2-1 defeat away at Bridgwater Town.A slow start from the visitors eventually saw them come close after 15 minutes when Matt Seedel found Michael Chennells but his effort rolled across goal and wide of the post. Moments later Jamie Price almost headed a Bruce Wilson corner into his own net but he was saved by the quick reactions of Tom Manley. Price had better luck at the other end when he got on the end of Jamie Laird's corner to head in Bridgwater's opening goal. Chris Young almost nipped in for a quick second when David Woozley tried to head back to Rob Bullivant allowing Young to lob Bullivant but the ball bounced over the bar. Things got worse for Windsor at the start of the second half when they failed to clear the ball properly allowing Price to knock in his second of the game. Windsor were soon back in the match and pulled a goal back when Bruce Wilson put Chennells through and he managed to lift the ball over Manley and into the net. Bridgwater continued to frustrate their guests and further chances from Marcus Richardson, Joe Chandiram, Nathan Jack and a superb volley from Seedel failed to prevent an impressive run of unbeaten games ending. |
