YOUNG ROYALISTS FINALLY WIN

With Windsor & Eton's first team on a record breaking 30 game unbeaten run, the young Royalists created there own record last night winning there first Capital League game of the season.

The game was played at a good pace with some high level passing from both teams. Debutant Tom Mudge opened the scoring with a delighful 25 yard shot, this was soon followed with another excellent finish from Geoff Nalumoso.


30 minutes into the game and Nalumoso was through on goal when the keeper handle the ball outside the area, this resulted in a sending off. While Staines regrouped Gary Ashton scored for the second game running with a long range shot.

Half time 3-0.

The second half began with Staines having most of the play and deservedly scored two quick goals, from this point it was all about how the young Royalists would react. The back four stayed as a unit with outstanding contribution from Josh Briant.

The defining moment came with 10 minutes to go the staines forward perhaps should of scored, but for an outstanding save from Mark Banfry, and with Staines pushing on a breakaway resulted in a goal for Arthur Sula.

Full time 4-2.
