YOUNG ROYALS EARN POINT

The young royals travelled away last night to Wingate & Finchley in the Capital League. the starting eleven for the royals had no player over the age of 18.

Windsor started very slowly against a dynamic quick passing Wingate and it was no surprise that they fell behind to two goals within the first 10 minutes.

Shape and pressing the ball were the main problems, but as the game went on the royals got there chance and from a corner Matt Clarke struck a superb shot into the bottom right hand side.

HALF TIME Wingate 2 - 1 Windsor.

The discussion at half time was all about our shape, trying to be patient giving ourselves a chance to attack at the right moments. Windsor were having more of the play now and were looking the more likely to score, a fine run and cross from Gary Ashton gave Ben Brown a good chance to level.

With time running out Gary Ashton went on a fine run to score a deserved equaliser, and in the last minute Steve Park goal bound shot was deflected over the bar.

This was a game that all the players can take a lot of confidence from and build on for the rest of the season.

Final score Wingate 2 - 2 Windsor.

M.O.M. Every single one of them.

Team:- Dave Hills, Taylor Hart, Matt Mooney, Aaron Morten, Adam Toone, Matt Clarke, Ben Brown, Lewis Fogarty, Gary Ashton, Andy Grable, Steve Park. Subs:- Josh Briant, Miguel De Souza.
