Windsor & Eton travel to the Northcourt Road Ground in Oxfordshire this weekend looking to maintain their unbeaten league run against the improving Abingdon United.
Windsor were frustrated after an excellent Frome Town defence earned them a goalless draw and a point on a wet and windswept Saturday afternoon last weekend whilst Abingdon were 2-0 up at half time during their visit to Taunton Town. However, the match succumbed to a waterlogged pitch before the second half began.

Keith Scott’s side will make the fifty-five mile journey full of confidence as they have taken 14 of a possible 18 points on their travels so far this season including a 2-1 win at Cirencester Town in their last away game.
Abingdon will be looking to maintain a current unbeaten run of six in the league and five at home. Andy Slater’s men lost four of their first seven games but a turnaround in form has seem them move into a play-off place.
Recent history between the two teams favours the ‘Royalists’. Since 2006, the clubs have met on seven occasions, (six league one cup), with Windsor victorious four times and losing just once. The ‘Us’ currently do not have a great record against sides at the top of the league having been beaten by AFC Totton, Paulton Rovers and Cirencester Town. However, they have not lost by more than one goal in the league to date.
United’s biggest threat could will be forward John Mills who has already netted 13 times this season including five in a thrilling 7-4 victory against Uxbridge in September.
Windsor will be boosted by the likely return of leading goal scorer Michael Chennels who missed the Frome game with a slight hamstring injury but midfielder Joe Chandiram will remain an absentee with a foot injury.
