| FROME FRUSTRATE ROYALISTS |
Windsor & Eton were held to a goal less draw for only the third time this season in a wet windswept home tie against Frome Town.Windsor showed early domination but it was the visitors that had the first real chance. The ball bounced around the Windsor area finally falling for Luke Ballinger but his effort was weak and easy for Rob Bullivant. Matt Seedel then went close for the Royalists but his effort from the edge of the area was punched away by Dafydd Jones. Bullivant then did well to turn Mark Salter’s effort onto the post closely followed by Gavin Smith heading wide for Windsor. Scott Thomas forced Jones into another fine save when From failed to clear a free kick. The second half saw Windsor again start well and almost took the lead when Michael Reaney came close to putting Ryan Parsons free kick into his own net. A flurry of bookings came late on it the match as both sides became frustrated at the officials decisions. Into injury time and Frome keeper Jones was lucky to escape punishment after throwing himself to the floor trying to make out he had been struck by Marcus Richardson. After calm was restored both players escaped even a talking to. |
