Windsor & Eton’s involvement in this seasons FA Cup came to an end when they lost 1-0 at home against Zamaretto Premier side Farnborough.Windsor came close early on when Jake Parsons cross found Michael Chennells but he was unable to convert. From then the visitors dominated and on 13 minutes Jack King capitalised when Rob Bullivant spilled Kezie Ibe’s shot giving Farnborough the lead. Ibe came close again later in the half when King sent the ball into the box and the Farnborough front man sent the ball over from close range. On the stroke of half time Ibe again came close when he headed Sacha Opinel’s cross wide of the post. The second half saw Windsor start brightly and almost get back into the game. Joe Chandiram did well to get the ball off Jamie Stevens and break down the left and send the ball across the goal just inches away from Chennells. Then, substitute Adam Dickens had a superb effort blocked on the line after Matt Seedel got his head on Ryan Parsons free kick. As the match drew to a close Farnborough should have made sure of the win when Ryan Parsons was caught on the ball allowing Orlando Smith to roll the ball in for Bradley Bubb and he tried to round Bullivant. The Windsor keeper forced him wide and when he managed to put the ball back across Gary Holloway’s shat was well saved by Bullivant. |
